Science Fair

Sorry for the delay in posting on the blog here. Since the flood last week, my computer has not been interested in allowing my pictures and videos to upload. Something is going on with my Windows Explorer and I haven't been able to figure out what's going on. Quite frustrating! I can however upload to Sarah's laptop. So for now, I guess I will use her computer to get pics on the blog.

Courtney had here science fair at school a few weeks ago. This is something required for all 5th grade students. She decided to test the theory if electric toothbrushes worked better at removing plaque than an manual toothbrush. She used a plaque rise after brushing to show the remaining plaque after brushing. She found out that there wasn't a huge difference between the two. The manual did better along the gum line, and the electric between teeth. All three girls were subject and they each had slightly different results, which I'm sure is due to their brushing skills/techniques.

Courtney did not place, but there were over 200 entries, so there was some pretty stiff competition. I think she did a fantastic job and is a winner in my books!

Also note, Courtney has new glasses. She chose her new frames and they have cute star flowers on the front and sides of the frames. Adorable!!!

  1. Hi Courtney,
I cannot believe that you are a 5th grader this year! Wow, on your way to middle school! I am proud of you, and especially the way you behave on the school bus. Keep Jesus 1st in your life, and you will never be sorry.
    Love and prayers,
    Mrs. Becky Sanders (Bus #448)
