Leaving on a Jet Plane

This past Friday, just John and I left for a little vacation. For our 18th anniversary, John surprised me with this planned getaway taking care of all the details of hotel, airfare, talking to the families I babysit for to arrange for time off. John is THE BEST at planning surprises and this was no exception.

It had been over 8 years since John and I had been anywhere overnight without the kids. A much overdue and much needed adult time vacation. John and I had discussed before he planned the trip places we'd like to go to. It wasn't a huge surprise that John chose Orlando for our vacation.

We started our morning super early for one of the first flights to Orlando. Sunrises like this make getting up early a bit more enjoyable.

 Loading up!

John and I excited and ready to start our trip!

 A little view of Tennessee.

Many beautiful clouds on our flight. Looks like a white blanket.

Soft, fluffy clouds that I would love to bounce on if clouds had that ability.

We headed into a bit of stormy weather as we approached Florida. A bit bumpy the last leg, but not too bad. A foreshadow of some of the rainy weather for the weekend though.

All the bumps were worth it as this is the resort that was waiting to greet us when we arrived in Orlando.

Several more posts to come this week of our vacation. Just wanted to get a little start as I organize and edit the photos.
