This past weekend we celebrated Sarah's last Prom! As hard as it is to believe-she is an adult, and nearing graduation (41 days from today!), we rejoice in the wonderful young woman our Sarah has become.
After months of planning, shopping, research for the "perfect" dress and hairstyle, and endless conversations about all things Prom, the event was wonderful! Here are a TON of photos for all to enjoy!
Here is Sarah 1st step in her beautifying process: Hair
An elegant updo with little rhinestone hair accessories for that extra "bling"
Her hair looked beautiful all night long- when we removed all of the hair clips the next day, (she slept over at a girlfriends house) we counted 47 clips in all!!!
Sadly, John wasn't able to be present for the actual Prom event. He had a family emergency with his sister in which he left to be with her in California a few days before.
Thankfully our quick thinking Sarah suggested that she pull on her dress and jewelry the night before John left to get some Daddy/Daughter shots. Love these shots!
We also took a few pictures with JT because he was in a camera happy mood and we weren't certain that would be the same come Prom day, so he has a few extra shots.

Sarah's date! Her boyfriend Doug. It happened to be their 11 month anniversary of becoming an official couple :)

Time to pose with Mom
What was wonderful about this shot is we were able to Skype with John, Grandma and Grandpa C. when Doug arrived. That way, John was able to be a "live" part of some of the festivities.
Sarah was solo putting on the boutonniere this year, though John helped via Skype :)
These 2 shots are some of my favorites...
We then met downtown at Centennial Park and had some group photos with some of Sarah's friends that were all eating together.
All of these shots were at the Parthenon, a beautiful backdrop...
Here is the total group of 20 posing for a huge group of parents...
Silly pose
All of the lovely ladies... Some of these girls have been friends with Sarah since we moved here almost 6 years ago when she entered 7th grade. So wonderful to see these lifelong friends celebrating as they enter their next chapter of life...
We then moved down by the lake
JT had another photo opportunity here at the park. JT did so well being patient while we took photos for nearly 1 1/2 hours. My sweet boy sat patiently in the stroller until we were almost done.
Kisses for "Rare Ra" as he calls her...
