Girls Day Out

So this post is about a week overdue, but I guess better late than never in the blogging world :) Last weekend we had a girls day just Mom and her three girls. John and JT had some man time back at the house.

Doing their fierce looking Eclipse impression....

We decided that we would go see a movie and do lunch afterward. Toy Story 3 was our choice and it was a great selection! I love the Pixar movies and Toy Story has been one of my favorites of the bunch. This 3rd installment might be my favorite, but since its been so long since I've seen the original, I can't say for certain. This movie touches the hearts of Mom's who either have children who are close to leaving for college- my Sarah :( or I imagine Mom's of grown ups. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but be prepared for some emotional moments during the movie. That feels funny to say being a cartoon movie, but it's true!

From the other side....
Can't go wrong with Chocolate & Peanut Butter!

Then afterward, we went to Candylicious because if you go there after you see  movie and show your ticket stub, you get a free treat. We had not tried this before, so we thought it would be fun to check out. Turns out it was a pretty cool deal- we each got a small Slush Puppy frozen drink! Perfect for a hot summer day.

Then we talked about and decided to go to Which Which sandwich shop for our lunch. This place is fun and yummy to eat at. Hard to explain without being too wordy, but you get to write out your order on individual bags (turkey, ham, itallian bags) and check the boxes of which items you want on your sandwich. Then you write your name at the bottom and they call your name when its ready. Kind of interactive and the kids had fun with it- Sarah wanted to be silly and put her name as Sarah Grey (a name she is fond of) and she got a kick out of hearing, "Sandwich ready for Sarah Grey" being called.

We all had a great time on our girls day out. Its been a long time since we have done anything fun like that together. Hopefully we can have some more in the future! Love my girls!!!
