Scholarship Award

     Last week, Sarah found out that she was the recipient of the Interact Academic Scholarship award. Sarah was one of 3 students to win. Beside the awards Sarah has earned through Campellsville, this is the first scholarship Sarah has be awarded. She was thrilled when the announcement was made!

     Interact is a club that Sarah has been involved in at her high school. Interact is associated with the Rotary club and it is a service based organization. I can't recall all of the service projects Sarah has participated in through Interact, but some highlights include: The Last Minute Toy Store, Battle of the Bands, and various elementary school events.

     Here is a picture of our award winner with her check. Her award should pay for her books and maybe a bit more for her first semester, so that is a huge blessing! I'm still not sure why college text books are as expensive as they are, but that can be saved for another post(probably after she purchases her 1st semester books!)

     Congrats to Sarah and we are so proud of all of your hard work, service to our community, and your recognition in this scholarship.
