First Day of School

Today marks the first day of school for our girls. It also marks two different things: 1. This is the first time in 13 years since we don't have an elementary school to attend. 2. This is the last year that the girls will be going to school together.

Yes, we do start early here, but there are perks. We have over a week off for Fall Break in early October, for Winter Break the kids are off for three weeks, and for Spring Break they get a little over a week again. There are also other scheduled days off for other holiday's and I'm sure a snow/weather day or 2 will get in the mix. The nice thing is school is over before Memorial Day. All in all, it isn't a bad thing to start so early!

Our Sarah Nicole is now a SENIOR!!! Can you believe it? We sure can't! She is now older than when John and I started dating and that seems like yesterday. I'm sure this year will be both challenging and fun for Sarah as we go through her final year in school.

Class of '11!!!

Lindsay Marie is the cream of Oreo being in 7th grade. No longer low man on the totem pole, yet not the big bad 8th grader, this year is probably a stable year middle school wise. I'm sure she will continue to be challenged in her academics, but she has a good idea of what to expect.

Courtney Sierra now joins Lindsay at TW Hunter as a 6th grader. She's the new kid on the block along with hundreds of others. This will be a big year of 6 different classes- band being one of them- high expectations, and growing in her maturity.

Our prayer as parents is that God gives our girls challenges that will help them grow in all areas of their lives, to have a circle of friends that are Godly, as well as being a light themselves at school to their peers.

We had to wake JT up to go to school and pictures- he wasn't thrilled at first. Holding his taggie.
He warmed up soon though. Looks of evil knowing sisters are going to be working hard while he plays.
Look how much they have grown in 1 year!
